Pious can mean dedicated, devout or saintly - Dedicated Charity. Nightingales have come to symbolize charity, possibly due to the ever famous 'Florence Nightingale' the celebrated founder of modern nursing. This pendant was handcrafted from a German wax seal dating to the early 1840’s.
