A tiny bee gathers nectar from a thistle, framing it in Latin reads ‘Dulcius ex asperis’ or ‘Sweeter after difficulties’. Bees, in heraldry, symbolize diligence and tireless effort, hard work and industry. Handcrafted using an English wax seal dating from the 1830’s.
