Where do your designs come from?

Each design is cast from an original antique wax seal.

Where do the meanings come from?

It is important to us that each piece of our jewelry convey the authentic and intended meaning of the original seals imagery and design. We thoroughly research each seal using cherished copies of heraldic histories, intaglio catalogues and rare editions of 18th and 19th century engravers texts.

What is the jewelry made from, and how?

Each design is cast in either Silver, Gold or Bronze. Individual product listings contains material information. 

How should I care for my jewelry?

Each design is finished with an antiqued patina. Jewelry cleaning solutions will destroy the patina and must not be used, instead you can buff clean with a soft-cloth or an anti-tarnish wipe. Chlorinated water can also effect the finish so please remember to remove your piece before swimming. All chains are fragile and should be removed for sleep and exercise.

How big are the pieces?

The size of each piece is shown in the listing in both mm and inches. It is important to pay attention to these as the product images don’t necessarily convey the scale of the pieces as accurately as we would like.

How do I pay?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal. All prices are in USD and all transactions are in USD

Taxes, Customs and Duties.

Canadian customers are charged the relevant GST/HST for their province. US and international customers will not be charged taxes by Plum and Posey Inc. Customs fees, tariffs, duties or similar levied by customs agents or officials in your own country we have no control over or responsibility for.

Customization

Can I customize the size of my piece, the writing or the imagery?

No. A major part of what makes our jewelry special is that each design is cast from an original antique wax seal and remains true to its form and meaning. We feel that alterations to the design diminish this.

Can you engrave my piece?

Sorry we don’t offer engraving. If you do intend to have your piece engraved elsewhere, please let us know before you purchase. Location of hallmarks and the Plum and Posey mark make some pieces unsuitable.

I have a seal will you make a custom piece for me?

Possibly. Certain seals lend themselves better to jewelry than others and we won’t make anything we are not proud to put our name to. Send us a quick note with your requirements and a large clear photo of your seal and we’ll see what we can do.
